MOGSC's Update on the Movement Control Order #10 Increase of Operational Capacity

Dear MOGSC Members,

Please be informed that the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) released a press statement today to notify companies under the economic sectors which have been permitted to operate during the Movement Control Order (MCO) and have received approval to operate from MITI, will be allowed to resume full operations starting tomorrow.

Companies are allowed to increase their workforce to 100% and there will be no restriction on operating hours. Previously, companies had to apply separately to increase their operating hours.

However, companies will still need to adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as condition to the approval given to operate.

“This initiative will help to boost the recovery of the supply chain for products and services to meet local and international demand, and will have a positive impact on the companies’ revenues, especially for the small and medium-sized enterprises.

“While the government has eased up on the restrictions, the people and industry owners must adapt to the ‘new normal’ by ensuring social distancing at the workplace, maintaining good personal hygiene and complying with the health control guidelines,” YB Dato' Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, Senior Minister, MITI.

Take Care and Stay Safe.
