MOGSC'S UPDATE ON THE MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER #11 CONDITIONAL MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER

Dear MOGSC Members,

The Federal Government announced that they are implementing a Conditional Movement Control Order starting on Monday, 4th May 2020 which allows most businesses to operate. For us, this means that our members, the Oil & Gas service and equipment providers will be able to operate and no longer require the approval from MITI. All the applications that were submitted to MITI will be automatically approved. For companies that did not apply to MITI for approval to operate before, there is a voluntary declaration to notify of your operations and that you will commit to the SOPs on the COVID-19 Intelligent Management System (CIMS) 3.0 (link below). The system will issue an endorsement letter with a QR code which companies can display at your offices.

However, there are strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Protocols that the companies will have to adhere to if you are to operate. Below you can find the SOP for the Oil & Gas Sector.

Please take note that some states have decided not to follow the Conditional Movement Control Order or are still reviewing its implementation. For companies that are operating in these states, please check with your State Authorities if you are allowed to operate.

Other than the approval for businesses to operate, the Movement Control Order is still in effect until 12th May 2020. The latest Federal Government Gazette which supersedes all the previous ones is below for your reference.
